As part of my project I decided to use MoCap to record all the human animations . Before I could use the MoCap suits I had to plan which animations I needed as a base so I looked at the player controller for the human in the game to see what it can do and then write up base control animations like walk,turning, jump and run. when it came to the recording of the animations I volunteered to be the person in the MoCap suit.
After we recorded the MoCap animations it then my job in the team to go through the data and clean it up and put it in place ready to go in engine. Above you can some footage which we took from the MoCap session and see it compared to the cleaned up version in motionbuilder on our human proxy model.
